The old Studebaker dealership now houses Radius, a community of arts- and education-oriented nonprofits in a partnership to inspire the community through furtherance of their missions.

In addition to the cost efficiency and synergy resulting from the cooperative, Radius generates engaging programs and a wide range of activities – music, movies, art, dance exhibitions, book reviews, contests, classes, conversation and quiet corners for reading and relaxing.

Surrounded by San Antonio history and architecture, Radius shares the Circle with SBC, the Municipal Auditorium, the 19th century Carter House, and the Toltec Apartments. Building on the good taste of its neighbor, The Original Hemisfair Bunuelos, Radius serves distinctive desserts at the “Pi Counter” and on the terrace, “Tangent. ” In addition to these menus, Radius offers a changing menu of mental desserts, samplings of everything from astronomy to zoology.

Freelance Camp San Antonio is pleased to say Radius is one of our most generous sponsors. Radius is there supporting non-profits, the arts, and thought in San Antonio. Thanks Radus Center!

Blellow is a social network allowing freelancers and professionals to collaborate, find work, and solve problems through a friendly, familiar micro-blog interface by answering the question: “What are you working on?”

We’re all faced with daily challenges that consume our valuable time, and some of these challenges can take hours to overcome if it’s not your core competency. But with a little expert advice from a friend, the problem may be solved in minutes.

Blellow offers the ability to communicate with groups of people based on skills and interests. You can direct your posts, so you get better answers to your questions, relevant feedback when you need it, and can engage in conversations you are most interested in. All responses are posted in threaded discussions, so it’s easy to keep track of it all.

Credibility is earned with “kudos”. Each time you help someone, you can earn a kudo from that person. The more kudos you have, the higher you rank in searches, gaining you higher visibility with peers and potential clients. In the current economy, finding work can be difficult. But with Blellow, members can search the Job Board and can collaborate on projects, working together through these tough times.

And while collaborating virtually is great, nothing beats meeting in person. Find Blellow meetups and coworking opportunities at home or when traveling.

At Blellow, members can take advantage of the site’s tools to further their knowledge, extend their network, and discover and develop new ideas to get things done.

Freelance Camp San Antonio is pleased to say Blellow is one of our generous sponsors. Blellow is there in San Antonio supporting freelancers and those who need freelancers. Thanks Blellow!

Houston-based House of Talent Group, LLC, (H.O.T.) is a full-service company providing virtual staff across a broad range of administrative, marketing, financial, and computing tasks and projects for executives and companies. The concept enables small businesses to include a group of experienced professionals on their team immediately. H.O.T. enables large corporations to extend their current staff for a project without compromising expertise.

The House of Talent Group was formed to assist high-tech startups and emerging growth companies as well as established service firms and corporations interested in recession-proofing their businesses. H.O.T. delivers the service promised in their slogan: “We’ve got your back office.”

Emerging companies and those ready to expand don’t always have the expertise in house ready to take them to the next level. H.O.T. provides professionals so a company doesn’t have to hire staff or consultants. The staff a company needs to have is available for an affordable monthly price. H.O.T. offers professionals flexibility and the ability to use their talents in a supportive yet innovative environment.

Freelance Camp San Antonio is pleased to say H.O.T. is one of our most generous sponsors. H.O.T.’s recognition of the need for flexibility shows H.O.T. understands freelancing. Thanks H.O.T.!
